Yount's Woolen Mill and Boarding House is a historic woolen mill and boarding house located in Ripley Township, Montgomery County, Indiana.The boarding house was built in 1851, and is a two-story, "L"-shaped, Late Federal style brick building. It has a gable-on-hip roof and two-story porch on the rear side.
With the flight of time and changes in manufacturing, these mills were shut clown, and the call for Younts woolen goods cannot be longer supplied. The brick mill erected there in 1864 was fifty by seventy feet, and in 1867 a large wing was added which was three stories high.
Though there are some stories of Civil War uniforms being made at Yount's Woolen Mill, there is no official documentation supporting this claim. The mill ceased operations in 1905. Yountsville was a small thriving village through the mid-1880s, and with the introduction of the railroad, the importance of the area mills diminished.
